Kev is a British comics
artist and illustrator, based in Leeds. From
1987 Kev has worked on Future Shocks in 2000
AD, and followed this up with work on some
of the anthology comic’s most popular
long-running stories, including Judge Dredd,
Rogue Trooper (inking Steve Dillon’s
pencils), the ABC Warriors and Judge
Anderson.
Originally known for
his glossy, painted style and the fine
detail of his inked work, Kev began to
change the way he works around 1998 when he
started using a high contrast black line
style with heavy shadows coupled with flat
computer colouring.
In 2005, Kev was commissioned by design
agency ODD to draw the character of a
13-year old James Bond for Charlie Higson's
Young Bond novel SilverFin and in April
2006, he tenured Marvel Comics' cosmic
crossever event, the Annihilation with Dan
Abnett and Andy Lanning plotting Nova, one
of its four lead-ins.
Kev has now completed
six covers for Eoin Colfer's books and had no
hesitation in allowing his artwork be used
on the t-shirts. |
